Morning After Pill

If you have had unprotected sex and are worried about being pregnant, the morning after pill can help. The morning after pill (emergency contraception) is taken in tablet form after you’ve had sex and can help stop you from becoming pregnant. Two of the most popular types are ellaOne and Levonelle
There are two drugs available in the UK without a prescription that are used as Emergency Hormonal Contraceptives (EHC). Levonelle one-step and EllaOne. Levonelle One-step can be used for no longer than 72 hours after unprotected sex in order to prevent pregnancy. EllaOne is to be taken no longer than 120 hours after unprotected sex.
