Gluten-Free Service

A gluten-free diet is a diet that excludes foods and drinks that contain gluten, a protein found in wheat, barley, and rye. This includes many common foods like bread, pasta, pizza, and cereal. People with coeliac disease and dermatitis herpetiformis should follow a gluten-free diet for life. Others may choose to follow a gluten-free diet for other reasons, such as to manage symptoms of other medical conditions, improve health, lose weight, or increase energy
The way the service works is that you have to be registered with one pharmacy, Its important that your GP also knows this. Both the GP and Pharmacist will work together to help manage your condition. The patient is allowed to place monthly orders of certain gluten-free products that they will be able to choose by ticking the products they require. Patients are restricted to the no of units they can order each month.
Speak to the pharmacy team to find out more about the service.
